This spoof of Badshah’s Mercy slams those who slut-shame women
Women-centric YouTube channel Girliyapa has taken on the {increasing|growing} "moral police", who {hands|palm|side} out advice to women {how} they ought to behave, dress, sit, {chat|converse|discussion} or simply live, by providing an interesting {turn|angle|perspective} to rapper Badshah's latest anthem Mercy.
From Dangal actress Fatima Sana Shaikh being slammed for "dressing inappropriately" in the {ay|o} month of Ramadan, to Priyanka Chopra being called out for flashing her legs during her {conference|getting together with|appointment} with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, women's bodies have been a target for people's judgment and ire.
In a song {Hot debate|Equipment} Ho Gayi, Maanvi Gagroo and Sanaya Pithawalla {assault|strike|harm} the trolls who slut-shame women, admonishing them for being skinny or {excess fat|extra fat|fats} to wearing "inappropriate" clothes.
But "she won't give a damn, " says Gagroo, who shot to fame with {the internet|the net} series Pitchers, in it.
The spoof also derides the original Mercy song, that can be criticised for its sexist overtones.
