Kick Review
Kick is a 2014 action thriller movie with slight touch of comedy directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film features Salman khan in a leading role with Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as in supporting roles. Kick is basically a remake of Telugu film with the same name.The story of the Kick revolves around a young guy ‘Devi Lal Singh’ who is very adventurous youth always looking for a ‘kick’ or adventure in life. Due to his thrill seeking attitude, he never stays in one job for so long and has resigned from 32 companies because of the lack of ‘kick’. Than he meets Shaina (Jacqueline Fernandez), a Psychiatrists and a daughter of greedy rich man. ‘Devi’ meets Shaina when she was helping her friend getting married to her lover and Devi rescues them both and helps her mother to follow them and reach the temple, when asked why he is doing so? He replies for the sake of ‘kick’. Shaina at first dislikes Devi but then she starts to fall for him and both of them decided to get married. On shaina’s suggestion, Devi starts job in chemical lab but resigns in few days because he didn’t find his ‘kick’ in the job. When Shaina hears about this, they breaks up with each other and Shaina leaves for Poland where her parents’ lives, and doesn’t get seen by Devi for the year or so.Shaina meets Himanshu (Randeep Hooda) in the train as her father’s instructions to marry him. Where she told him about her ex-boyfriend ‘Devi’. Himanshu is a very talented and strong police officer who came to Poland to catch a thief named ‘Devil’, who targets all the rich people associated with Shiv Gazra, a corrupt businessman and a killer. ‘Devil’ is none other than Devi. Who robs rich people just to help poor children suffering from cancer and other chronic diseases. Shaina spots Devi in Poland and came to know that he is suffering from memory lose which is basically a bluff to enter in Shaina’s house and to be friend with Himanshu.
Devil calls Himanshu and tells him about his next robbery at Shiv’s place. During the robbery Himanshu and Shaina discovers the identity of ‘devil’. Devi escapes by jumping from a building and rides a bus. He is then chased by Himanshu. After a long chase many cops gets destroyed but he gets cornered by Himanshu, but he escapes by jumping off the bridge. Unfortunately the bus falls into the river, and the cash is destroyed. Devi then celebrates his failure. Himanshu spots Devi and warns him that if he tries to rob again he will be killed, but Devi challenges him by saying that he will rob a huge party fund worth 500 crore rupees. Devi’s true intentions of robberies were revealed by his father to Shaina.Later Devi goes to steal party fund amount and to find Shiv and his gang members. After long fight with Shiv, Devi kills him and his gang. He hands over all the money to his father. Himanshu gets ready to shot Devi but hundreds of children block his way as they were going to pray for devil for saving their lives, Himanshu realizes that all the robberies were actually for the sake of kids.
At the climax, Devi joins the police force and the home minister hands him Devil's case.
